Like many, I’ve been working from home the last few weeks. Also like many, it’s taking some adjusting. It’s hard on my mind and body, especially because we don’t have space for a home office. If you too are having a hard time adjusting logistically, mentally, or physically, this post might be helpful. All links are shoppable, so please don’t go out to pick these things up! Just shop from the comfort and safety of home.
First of all, get your mind out of the gutter because what I’m talking about some good old-fashioned, wholesome fun you and your roommate/spouse/partner/person-who-is-stuck-inside-with-you can do to put down the phone, step away from the news, and enjoy some quality time together inside as we continue to try to flatten the curve.
So… you’re stuck inside. Now what? Well, I’ve got your solution… maybe. To be honest, this list probably has a lot of films and shows you’ve already seen, but I’m throwing it out there anyways. It’s mostly light-hearted shows and movies because I feel like that’s what I need right now, and maybe you do too.
What a week. In just a few short days we went from hearing that Italy was shutting down due to COVID-19 to shutting down ourselves. So what does this all mean? Well, it probably means you’re going to be spending a bit more time inside than usual, and you might be going stir-crazy because of it. I put together of things I’m doing to keep myself occupied, positive, and somewhat sane during all of this. I hope it helps you too.
Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, and that means it’s time to deck out in shades of pink, white, and red. My affordable Valentine’s Day Style Guide includes items as low as $5. Many items are on clearance or sale, so start shopping before they’re gone!
Something I love about going back to San Jose is revisiting some of my favorite places and discovering new ones. During our trip this summer, we did just that. We ate our way through some of our favorites places at San Pedro Square Market and visited the best little spots in Japantown, and today I’m sharing my food guide with you.
With our recent move, I missed my June Favorites post, so I’m happy to revive it this month. I’ve doubled down on this post by including a bunch of things that I would have liked to include in the June post if life (and 800 boxes) hadn’t gotten in the way. This month’s favorites cover some favorites in home, beauty, and style. Enjoy!
Since I was about 10 years old, I’ve suffered from chronic back pain. So why am I writing about it now? Because in the decades of dealing with my pain, I’ve learned some ways to help manage it — ways that don’t include prescription drugs or doctor visits, and I want to share my methods in hopes that it might help others.
Prime Day is here (and almost over!) again! I spent hours online combing through the deals and talking myself in and out of putting items in my basket. Ultimately, I remembered I’m poor, so I only walked away with a few items. See my tiny haul and some Prime Day tips for this holiest of online holidays!
Okay… so I know we’re already about halfway through June, but hear me out… I’m a teacher and my school gets out way late, so I’ve been up to my eyeballs in grading and putting out fires (mostly metaphorical ones) for the last few weeks. I only just had the brain power and time to sit down and write about my May favorites, and I’m so sad that it’s so late, but I do love these items and I really think they’re worth sharing.
