The end of the year always calls for a little reflection and introspection, and as I look back on this past year, I realize so much has happened. When I look back on this year, I see a lot of good memories.
When I think about Starbucks during the winter, I don’t think about the red cups, Eggnog Lattes, or Peppermint Mochas. Instead, thoughts of Cranberry Bliss Bars begin dancing through my head. The only bad thing about Starbucks’ Cranberry Bliss Bars is that they’re seasonal, which means when the proverbial snow melts, these sweet treats also disappear. This winter I set out to fix that.
This soup is an easy and delicious main course, or a warming precursor to a beautiful fall meal. Whether you make it via stovetop or Instant Pot, or with fresh or dried herbs, a bowl full of this stuff will leave you with a happy warm soup belly.
Tomorrow is Shop Small Saturday, and I have some very special shops and businesses that you can support this Saturday and every day. These businesses are privately owned labors of love, owned by amazing and talented people who love what they do. I’m sure they would love a little extra support this holiday season, and to sweeten the deal, many of them are offering discount codes and amazing deals right now!
I’ve been going super pumpkin spice crazy lately because I found THE BEST pumpkin spice, and I’ve been putting it in everything, including this Pumpkin Spice Ice Cream, which was a huge hit at this year’s Friendsgiving!
This recipe is super easy and only requires five ingredients. It’s a real crowd pleaser and a cinch to make. Whip up a batch to impress friends and family this holiday season, or to have a little taste of fall any time of the year!
Believing women is not about ignoring evidence or being blind to the facts. Believing women means believing that sexual violence and harassment happens more often than we acknowledge. It means believing that women’s stories are worth listening to and looking into. It means believing our society has a problem and listening to those most affected. Believing women is our best hope to protect the women and girls we love.
I don’t eat a ton of cereal and I don’t like to be wasteful, so I wanted to find a way to use up the remainder of the package before it went stale. Then it dawned on me – those confusing cookies my aunt made used cereal, so why don’t I try my own version of a Ranger Cookie? Using crushed cinnamon toast cereal in my cookies was a game-changer. It inspired me to find other substitutions to create new flavor combinations and completely reinvent the Ranger Cookie of my past.
Recipe development takes a lot of time, patience, research, willing taste-testers, and a gym membership. My Jalapeño Popper Mac and Cheese is no exception to this, especially gym membership part – this stuff is cheesy and fattening and delicious. You’ll love it.
This ice cream could not be easier. It’s as simple as picking up a few ingredients at the market, whipping some cream, smashing things up, and freezing. Once it’s ready, scoop and serve. This super easy, amazingly delicious ice cream will have everyone asking for s’more!
I know a lot of women my age experience the feeling that they’re losing their friends to wife life and motherhood. If you are one of the women who feel this way, perhaps you experience occasional resentment toward your newlywed or first-time mom friends or the men and children taking your partner in crime away from you. Or worse, maybe you’re afraid because you feel like you’re falling behind.
I feel the pressure too, and I think it’s normal and natural, but this burden — the feelings of loss, resentment, despair, and general panic — doesn’t have to weigh us down.
